    Managing Your Manager Successfully
    The PA–manager relationship is one of mutual dependence. Managers need cooperation, reliability, and honesty from their Personal Assistants. PAs, for their part, rely on managers for vital information and critical resources, for setting priorities, making connections across the rest of the company, and more. It’s a relationship that needs to operate as smoothly as possible. To manage this relationship successfully, you need a good understanding of your manager and yourself, particularly your strengths, weaknesses, and working styles. Once you are aware of what facilitates (or impedes) communication with your manager, you can take action. Our managers are busy individuals who need to be handled carefully. We need to ensure we have all the information required to do our job efficiently, so that, in turn, we can provide even greater support to them. This training day is dedicated to helping you improve your capacity to communicate more effectively with your manager and develop the perfect working style; one that is characterised by clear mutual expectations, and that helps to make both of you more productive and effective.
